University of Sydney is inviting applications for postgraduate scholarship in contaminant hydrology. Applicants should have a background in theoretical and applied hydrology, eco-hydrology, and soil physics and be willing to learn mathematical concepts needed to implement advanced computational tools
. The scholarship is valued at $25,849 per annum (tax exempt and indexed annually) and may be renewed for up to three years, with a possible further extension of 6 months, subject to satisfactory progress. The scholarship is paid as a stipend on a fortnightly basis. This scholarship does not cover any tuition fees payable by international candidates although exceptional international applicants will be considered for a Fee Award. The application deadline is 26 September 2015.

. Applicants must also be interested in multidisciplinary approaches to environmental engineering, which may include chemistry, biology, and computational sciences. Consideration will be given in order of priority to applicants who: (1) have a Master’s degree or equivalent in Mathematics, Environmental Engineering, Agricultural Science, Biology; (2) can demonstrate a potential for research excellence; and (3) have relevant past experience and training. Applications are open to domestic and international students.
