What is the Wells Mountain Foundation?

  • The Wells Mountain Foundation (WMF) is a not-for-profit organization, which provides funding and support to charitable organizations and programs. We support organizations that serve individuals and families in need of assistance as a result of economic challenges and, in many cases, extreme poverty. Emphasis is on programs in education, literacy and the arts.Priority is given to existing non-governmental organizations (NGO's) in the developing world, social service agencies in the United States and direct scholarships to students in developingnations. While we provide support to a number of literacy and art programs, our biggest single program is Empowerment through Education which selects and provides scholarships to WMF Scholars who live in and are studying in developing nations.

When and how do I receive my scholarship money?

  • Your scholarship money will either be sent directly to you or your school. Scholarship money is sent two times a year. New Scholars should complete the “Wiring of WMF Funds” form, found on our website (and attached to this email), as soon as possible, so that we can send you your scholarship funds in a timely manner.
