Scholarship Description:

Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship 2023 is open for Domestic Students . The scholarship allows Masters level programm(s) in the field of Maritime Engineering taught at University of Tasmania . The deadline of the scholarship is expired at 31 Dec 2022.

The University of Tasmania is a public research university, primarily located in Tasmania, Australia. Founded in 1890, it is Australia's fourth oldest university. The Centre for Maritime Engineering and Hydrodynamics , Australia's premier maritime engineering facility at the University of Tasmania's specialist institute, the Australian Maritime College (AMC), , is offering great scholarships to young women to increase female participation in maritime engineering programmes. Women in Maritime Engineering Scholarship 2023 is an exciting opportunity for female students to build up their career in Maritime Engineering that is one of engineering's most challenging and rewarding fields.

Areas of specialisation are: Marine and Offshore Engineering, Ocean Engineering and Naval Architecture.

Scholarship Benefits:

The scholarship will cover one year of on-campus accommodation costs (to the value of $8,200). To be eligible, students must apply for accommodation with University of Tasmania Accommodation Services - https://secure.utas.edu.au/accommodation/future-residents/apply

The application fee and bond (these costs are NOT covered by this scholarship).

Scholarships will be awarded to domestic female students.

Eligibility Criteria:

Eligibility

Scholarships will be awarded to domestic female students who are commencing study on the Launceston campus in Semester 1, 2023, for any undergraduate maritime engineering courses with specialisations in naval architecture, ocean engineering or marine and offshore engineering offered by the Centre for Maritime Engineering & Hydrodynamics, who meet the Australian Tertiary Admission Ranking ATAR 70 or above in 2022.

On-going Eligibility

To retain eligibility for this scholarship you must remain enrolled full-time and achieve a minimum Pass result in all units. As scholarship payments are made in advance each semester, you are required to successfully complete the semester for which payment has been made, otherwise repayment may be required.
