This Opportunity
Nationally recognized as a Top 100 Intern Program, WSP USA hosts hundreds of internships across the United States to gain hands-on, meaningful work experience to enhance their education and professional aptitude. Our interns gain exposure to real projects while working side by side with senior staff. Through our Developing Professionals Network, interns gain mentorship, networking opportunities, and lifelong career connections.
Your Impact
• Function as part of the design team and utilize engineering design concepts.
• Learn basic principles of electrical system design and become familiar with Revit.
• Perform basic calculations.
• Assist in analyzing data, such as energy and load calculations.
• Perform basic electrical engineering design and production and construction administration services.
• Assist in electrical engineering or/and other technical areas, such as supporting the technology or lighting groups.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources, and conduct, and adhere to WSPs Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
• Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs. • Please note that there is no relocation or housing assistance associated with this internship.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
• Actively enrolled in an accredited Electrical Engineering, or related Engineering, Undergraduate program.
• Coursework demonstrating an interest in engineering in the built environment.
• Experience with Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Strong technical writing, analytical, and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with an emphasis on quality work products.
• The selected candidate must have the ability to work in the United States immediately.
• Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSPs health, safety, and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
• Knowledge of AutoCAD and/or Revit and producing technical drawings is preferred.
• EIT License or LEED AP certification is a plus.
• Prior internship experience, leadership experience, or relevant coursework.
