The year 2023 marks the UNESCO Internship Program, an initiative under the United Nations that enables students and fresh graduates to acquire knowledge about UNESCO’s operations, procedures, and programs, while providing practical experience through tasks and internships. Along with other prominent internships the likes of UNICEF, WHO, and UNDP, the UNESCO Internship of 2023 welcomes students from all corners of the globe. No IELTS scores are required for the UNESCO internship, which lasts for six months and can be conducted remotely or in person, depending on the type of internship. UNESCO invites applicants of all genders and academic backgrounds to apply for its internships, which are available in various countries. The internship program is open to enrolled and graduated students, as well as bachelor’s, master’s, and Ph.D. applicants. However, those who have completed their bachelor’s degree but are not enrolled in a master’s degree program are not eligible to apply. Applicants must be at least 18 years old and speak English fluently. They must also have excellent computer skills and be able to work well in a team and adapt to an international working environment. Strong interpersonal and communication skills are necessary.
Medical Insurance and Leave:
UNESCO provides limited insurance coverage up to USD 30,000 during the internship period. However, UNESCO will not support or provide financial benefits for visa or travel expenses. Interns are entitled to 2.5 days of leave per month during their internship.
Required Documents:
To apply for the UNESCO Internship, applicants must provide their ID or certificate of enrollment/diploma if they have just recently graduated. They can only use English or French in their application.
