To apply for the Chicana Latina Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following:
Self-identify as Chicana and/or Latina
Be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or community college
Study in one of the eligible counties in Northern California, including:
Alameda
Contra Costa
Marin
Monterey
Napa
Sacramento
San Mateo
Santa Clara
Santa Cruz
Solano
San Francisco
Sonoma
Yolo
Have lived in one of these counties for at least two years
Additional Requirements by Study Level
For Community College & Undergraduate Students:
- Must be enrolled full-time
- Must have completed at least 12 college units after high school
- Minimum GPA of 2.0
For Graduate Students:
- Must be enrolled in or accepted to a graduate or professional program
- Minimum GPA of 2.7
Note: Students still in high school (even with college credits) are not eligible.
Program Responsibilities
Recipients of the scholarship are expected to actively participate in the program:
- Attend all Leadership Institute sessions
- Complete 10 hours of outreach as a CLF Ambassador
- Engage in community-building and leadership activities
- Represent the Chicana Latina Foundation during the next application cycle
