  Eligibility Criteria

  To apply for the Chicana Latina Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following:

  • Self-identify as Chicana and/or Latina

  • Be enrolled in an accredited college, university, or community college

  • Study in one of the eligible counties in Northern California, including:

    • Alameda

    • Contra Costa

    • Marin

    • Monterey

    • Napa

    • Sacramento

    • San Mateo

    • Santa Clara

    • Santa Cruz

    • Solano

    • San Francisco

    • Sonoma

    • Yolo

  • Have lived in one of these counties for at least two years

  Additional Requirements by Study Level

  For Community College & Undergraduate Students:

1. Must be enrolled full-time
2. Must have completed at least 12 college units after high school
3. Minimum GPA of 2.0

• For Graduate Students:

1. Must be enrolled in or accepted to a graduate or professional program
2. Minimum GPA of 2.7

• Note: Students still in high school (even with college credits) are not eligible.

  Program Responsibilities

  Recipients of the scholarship are expected to actively participate in the program:

  1. Attend all Leadership Institute sessions
  2. Complete 10 hours of outreach as a CLF Ambassador
  3. Engage in community-building and leadership activities
  4. Represent the Chicana Latina Foundation during the next application cycle
