Entry requirements

To qualify for admission, applicants must possess a Bachelor’s degree (or its equivalent to a Swedish Kandidatexamen) from a recognized institution.

Additionally, candidates must fulfill the following subject distribution criteria:

  • Materials background: A minimum of 60 credits in materials science, materials engineering, materials physics, or materials chemistry, or 60 credits in mechanical engineering with at least 10 credits in relevant materials disciplines.
  • Mathematics: 15 credits, including coursework in linear algebra and calculus.
  • Statistics: 5 credits.
  • Mechanics: 5 credits.

Selection criteria: Admission decisions are based on the overall academic record and the quality of the submitted statement of purpose.
