Overview

The SEU-Monash Joint PhD Programme is an innovative collaboration between Southeast University (SEU) and Monash University, designed to provide a comprehensive research experience over a typical duration of three to four years. Students will primarily conduct their studies at Monash University’s Suzhou campus in China, with a unique opportunity to spend a year at the Monash campus in Australia, gaining invaluable international exposure and insight.

This programme offers participants the advantage of dual supervision from esteemed faculty members at both SEU and Monash University, culminating in the awarding of PhD degrees from both institutions upon successful completion of the programme.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for the programme, applicants must possess a relevant master’s degree or an equivalent qualification. There are no specific GRE, GMAT, or GPA requirements mandated for admission.

Additionally, candidates must demonstrate proficiency in English through one of the following options:

• PTE Academic: Minimum score of 58
• IELTS: Minimum overall band score of 6.5

All applicants must meet the admission criteria set by both SEU and Monash University. It is advisable for Chinese nationals to consult with SEU faculty regarding their eligibility. A bridging programme is available for those who narrowly miss the English language requirements.
