The BA–MPA & BA–MUP (Global Liberal Studies) program at New York University offers an accelerated dual-degree pathway that integrates undergraduate liberal studies with advanced training in public administration or urban planning. This program is designed to equip students with critical skills in policy analysis, research methodologies, and global problem-solving, ultimately leading to a master's qualification.
The curriculum for this dual-degree program combines foundational knowledge in Global Liberal Studies with specialized courses in public administration and urban planning. Students will engage in a progressively challenging academic experience, culminating in graduate-level coursework that demonstrates their understanding of policy and planning issues.
To gain admission to the dual-degree program, applicants must be enrolled in the Global Liberal Studies (GLS) program and have completed a minimum of 64 credits towards the B.A. degree. A GPA of 3.0 or higher is required, with at least 32 of these credits completed in GLS.
Graduates of the BA–MPA & BA–MUP program are well-prepared for careers in various sectors, including public administration, urban planning, policy analysis, and non-profit management.
