The NYU Meyers BS–MS dual-degree program lets you earn a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and progress into a Master of Science in Nursing. Dual-degree students complete graduate coursework during the final phase of the BS program and then continue into the master’s curriculum for advanced practice or leadership pathways.
The NYU Meyers BS–MS dual-degree program offers a comprehensive pathway for students to earn both a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BS) and a Master of Science in Nursing (MS). This program is designed to facilitate a seamless transition from undergraduate to graduate education, allowing students to complete graduate-level coursework during the final phase of their BS program. Upon successful completion of the BS, students will continue into the master's curriculum, focusing on advanced practice or leadership specializations.
Dual-degree progression: Students will complete the BS in Nursing curriculum and, upon admission to the dual-degree program, may take approved graduate nursing courses in their final semester of the BS program. After finishing the BS, they will progress into the MS curriculum based on their selected pathway.
Credit substitution: During the last semester of the BS program, students may be permitted to substitute three or six nursing elective credits with an equivalent number of approved graduate credits, contingent upon meeting BS degree requirements and obtaining academic approval.
