What you'll study

The programme encompasses a total of 60 ECTS credits and is structured into core courses, general education, and a master’s thesis.

Core courses (48 ECTS)

  • Advanced software development and engineering methodologies
  • Software architecture and modeling techniques
  • Programming language concepts alongside advanced programming skills
  • Machine learning and theoretical foundations related to course selections
  • Theoretical principles underpinning advanced computer science topics

Specialisation and research (24 ECTS thesis)

Students select one of two specializations:

  • Software Security: Focuses on security principles, secure design, analysis, and research-driven methodologies to safeguard software systems.
  • Artificial Intelligence: Explores methods and research themes in AI, emphasizing the creation and assessment of intelligent systems.

This stage involves conducting research and developing innovative technologies, with the master’s thesis accounting for 24 ECTS credits and commencing at the beginning of this phase.

General education (8–10 ECTS)

General education courses are designed to broaden your perspective and enhance your research and professional growth. Topics may include advanced language studies, economics and law, and higher-level mathematics.

Internship (optional)

Students may have the opportunity to engage in an industrial or research internship abroad, supervised by the Internship Coordinator. The availability and specific requirements for internships can vary.

Entry requirements

Applicants must possess a relevant bachelor’s degree in computer science or a closely related discipline. It is important that your previous studies cover essential computer science topics and mathematics. There are no GRE or GMAT requirements for this programme.
