Arts (Music) – International Foundation Programme prepares international students for undergraduate study in Ireland through academic and English-language modules delivered at our centre in Maynooth. On successful completion, you receive a Level 5 Specific Purpose Certificate in International Foundation Studies (QQI), supporting progression to partner degree programmes.
The Arts (Music) – International Foundation Programme at University College Cork is designed to equip international students with the essential skills and knowledge needed for undergraduate study in Ireland. This programme focuses on both academic and English language modules, providing a solid foundation for further education.
Upon successful completion, students will be awarded a Level 5 Specific Purpose Certificate in International Foundation Studies (QQI), facilitating progression to partner degree programmes.
The programme spans seven months, consisting of two semesters and an examination week. Students are expected to engage in approximately 25 hours of classroom-based study each week, covering a blend of academic subjects along with English language development.
A minimum of 9 hours per week is dedicated to English language instruction, which is integrated into the overall curriculum and supplemented with additional support as necessary.
