Overview

The Medicine Undergraduate Foundation Programme (MUFP) at the University of Nicosia is designed to equip international students with the essential skills and knowledge required for admission into Year 1 of partner Medicine degrees. Successful completion of the programme, along with meeting specific interview and academic criteria, enables students to progress into a five-year Medicine degree pathway.

For those who do not meet the MUFP entry criteria, an alternative pathway through the Life Sciences Undergraduate Foundation Programme (UFP) is available, leading to selected six-year Medicine degrees at partner universities.

• Programme type: Undergraduate Foundation Programme (Medicine pathway)
• Target progression: Year 1 of partner Medicine degrees (subject to progression requirements)
• Delivery: Foundation programme provided by OnCampus UK North in collaboration with the University of Nicosia
• Assessment: Exams in Maths and English, alongside practical assessments in Biology and Chemistry
• Age requirement: Applicants must be at least 17 years old at the start of the MUFP and turn 18 before commencing the progression course
• English language: IELTS accepted (please refer to admission requirements for minimum scores)
• Progression options: MUFP available in both 2-semester and 3-semester Extended routes, depending on English proficiency and entry criteria

What you'll study

The MUFP encompasses a comprehensive set of core modules, focusing on sciences relevant to Medicine, academic English, and quantitative skills. Depending on individual entry pathways, students may undertake either a standard MUFP or an Extended MUFP, which provides additional support in English.

Students entering through the Extended route will complete an additional English language module, followed by two semesters of standard MUFP coursework.
