What you'll study

The curriculum is structured to provide a solid foundation in digital arts and multimedia, with an emphasis on hands-on experience:

  • Year 1: Digital Arts, Interactive Multimedia, and Foundations for Creative Production and Media Practice.
  • Year 2: Advanced Video Production, 3D Modelling and Digital Fabrication, alongside Project Management and Practice.
  • Year 3: Machine Learning for Interactive Systems, Creative Coding, and various modules focusing on media production and performance integration.
  • Year 4: An 8-month cooperative work term to apply skills in a professional setting, culminating in a capstone portfolio and final project work.

Throughout the programme, students will engage in project work that integrates audio, video, interactive media, and performance technology.

Entry requirements

To be eligible for admission, applicants must meet the following academic criteria:

  • A minimum of six subjects in the Leaving Certificate (or an approved equivalent).
  • Required subject profile: either two H5 (Higher Level) grades and four O6 (Ordinary Level) grades, or four H7 (Higher Level) grades.
  • Subject requirements include Mathematics, Irish (or another language), and English, with a minimum grade of O3/H7 in Mathematics.

English language proficiency must be demonstrated through one of the following:

  • IELTS: Minimum overall score of 6.5.
  • PTE Academic: Minimum overall score of 61.
  • Duolingo English Test: Minimum overall score of 120.

Additional documents typically required include academic transcripts, proof of English proficiency, passport/ID, and a CV/portfolio if necessary.
