HEC Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship 2026 for Pakistani Students (Fully Funded)
The Stipendium Hungaricum Scholarship Program 2026-27 is now open for applications from Pakistani and AJ&K nationals through the Higher Education Commission (HEC) of Pakistan. Launched by the Hungarian Government, this highly prestigious program offers fully funded opportunities to pursue Bachelor’s, One-Tier Master’s (OTM), Master’s, and PhD degrees at top universities in Hungary.
This scholarship is one of Pakistan’s most competitive international study options for the academic year 2026-27.
Degree Level
- Bachelor’s Degree 200 seats All available disciplines
- One-Tier Master’s (OTM) 70 seats 20 Medicine, 10 Dentistry, 40 other fields
- Master’s Degree 100 seats All disciplines
- PhD Degree 30 seats All disciplines

Applicants must apply only for the programs approved by HEC and offered by the Stipendium Hungaricum portal.
Benefits
1. Tuition Fee Exemption
- Covers full tuition fee for the entire duration of the program.
2. Monthly Stipend
- A monthly financial allowance for living expenses according to Hungarian regulations.
3. Accommodation Support
- Either university dormitory placement or a contribution toward accommodation costs.
4. Medical Coverage
- Comprehensive health insurance provided.
Note: The stipend may not cover all living costs; students should review expected expenses in Hungary.

Eligibility Criteria
- Must be a Pakistani or AJ&K national.
- Minimum age: 18 years by 31 August 2026.
- Result-awaiting applicants may apply but must upload final degrees before 1 August 2026.
- Required qualifications:
- Bachelor’s: Completed Intermediate/HSSC
- Master’s: 16-year Bachelor’s degree
- PhD: MS/MPhil
- HAT or USAT score (minimum 50%) is compulsory.
- IELTS/TOEFL may be required by some universities; otherwise an English Proficiency Certificate is acceptable.
- Applicants with dual nationality are not eligible.

- Both submissions are mandatory.

How to Apply
Step 1: Apply on the Hungarian Portal

- Fill in the application, upload all documents, and select degree programs carefully.
Step 2: Apply on the HEC Portal
- Website: scholarship.hec.gov.pk
- Create a profile, select the “Hungarian Scholarship Program,” complete and submit the form, then print and sign it.
Important Notes:
- Both applications are required.
- No hard copies needed at the initial stage.
- HAT/USAT test registration begins 8 December 2025; the test will be held on 1 February 2026.
