This course presents the four dimensions of sustainable infrastructure and explains the relationship and impact of sustainable infrastructure on nature-based solutions, gender equity, and employment. Additionally, it describes how public-private partnerships (PPPs) can be a valuable resource for the implementation of sustainable infrastructure. Upon completing the course, you will be able to identify how each dimension of sustainable infrastructure is articulated, as well as its operation during the planning and implementation of a project. Moreover, you will recognize the role of institutions, as well as the support strategies and technical assistance from the IDB to favor the implementation of sustainable infrastructure projects. Guided by professionals who are experts in the field, you will be able to recognize critical infrastructure projects and their characteristics of interdependence, sustainability, and resilience that are essential for achieving the goals of the Paris Agreement and the Sustainable Development Goals.
