Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the Shandong University Scholarship, applicants must meet the following requirements:
Eligible Countries: All countries except China
Degree & Age Requirements
Bachelor’s Degree Applicants: High school diploma or equivalent, under 25 years old
Master’s Degree Applicants: Bachelor’s degree or equivalent, under 35 years old
PhD Applicants: Master’s degree or equivalent, under 40 years old
Additional requirements:
Excellent academic performance
Strong research capability (especially for postgraduate applicants)
Applicants must not be receiving any other Chinese Government–funded scholarship during the award period
Language Requirements
For Chinese-Taught Programs
Bachelor’s: HSK 4 (minimum 210 points)
Master’s: HSK 5 (minimum 180 points)
PhD: HSK 6 (minimum 180 points)
For English-Taught Programs
Native English speakers (UK, USA, Canada, Australia, New Zealand) are exempt
Non-native speakers must submit one of the following:
IELTS: 6.0 or above
TOEFL iBT: 80 or above (DI code: C296)
Equivalent English proficiency certificate
Applicants who completed their previous degree in English are exempt, provided official proof is submitted.
