  • Be a mid-level professional working in a government agency, or another governmental or non-governmental organization dealing with maritime affairs.

  • Work in a role that contributes to policy formulation or implementation related to maritime affairs.

  • Submit a nomination and recommendation from an appropriate authority.

  • Propose a research program that directly supports the development or implementation of maritime policies in the applicant’s country.

  • Be available full-time during the entire fellowship period.
