What is TIGP?
TIGP is a prestigious Ph.D. program collaboratively organized by Academia Sinica and top Taiwanese research universities. It offers a unique educational experience in English, focusing on advanced research. TIGP has thirteen sub-programs, each with its own specific introduction and admission requirements.

Language Proficiency Requirement for TIGP:
Applicants whose first language isn’t English must provide an English proficiency certificate. Acceptable proof of proficiency includes scores from one of the following tests, meeting or exceeding the specified minimums:
TOEFL (Test of English as a Foreign Language)
- Internet-Based: Minimum score of 79
- Paper-Based: Minimum score of 550
IELTS (International English Language Testing System): Minimum score of 5.5
GEPT (General English Proficiency Test) (For local applicants only): High Intermediate Level required
TOEIC (Test of English for International Communication): Minimum score of 785
How to Apply for TIGP 2024?
To apply, you need to register an account and start your online application at their official website. Note that applicants can only apply to one TIGP program.

- Submit all required documents.
- Follow-up information will be communicated via email.

- Graduation certificates for B.Sc and, if applicable, M.Sc degrees (with English translations if necessary).
- Full transcripts of records (with grading system explanation).
- Passport or Taiwan Alien Resident Certificate (if applicable).
