Scholarship Description for Canada-ASEAN Scholarship :

The Canadian government declared the Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development (SEED) program on August 6, 2017. The program's objective is to allow learners from ASEAN member nations to undertake brief studies or research at Canadian post-secondary institutions in areas that contribute to the implementation of the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, with the goal of decreasing poverty in ASEAN's developing nations. SEED scholarships and educational exchanges will help advance all of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and strengthen Canada's relationships with the Indo-Pacific region through person-to-person connections.

To achieve these objectives, SEED scholarships are established through cooperation between post-secondary institutions in Canada and their counterparts in ASEAN countries. The Canada-ASEAN Scholarships and Educational Exchanges for Development Program is part of Global Affairs Canada's International Scholarships Program and is a short-term exchange program.
