Entry requirements

Eligibility for the combined pathway

  • Applicants must be in the 4th year of an Honours undergraduate program with the SSP plan in Life Sciences or Biochemistry.
  • Minimum academic performance: overall minimum A- average in the prior four completed academic terms of the undergraduate program.

MSc admission with advanced standing (after the Honours year)

  • Complete the standard SGS application process for MSc admission with advanced standing.
  • Minimum academic performance: overall A- average in the preceding 2 years of the undergraduate program.
  • Research expectations: demonstrate significant research productivity associated with the 4th-year thesis project.

Required documents (as part of the application)

  • Unofficial or official transcript (as requested by SGS).
  • Brief research project description (approximately 200 words).

English language proficiency
