What you'll study

  • Michaelmas term (Term 1): Five modules that cover the fundamental aspects of reproductive science along with core laboratory methods and practical skills.
  • Hilary term (Term 2): Five modules that delve into applied and clinical dimensions of the field, with each module conducted over a period of one to three weeks, forming the core taught content of the program.
  • Trinity term (Term 3): An extended term dedicated to a significant laboratory research project, allowing for in-depth exploration of a specific topic.

Supervision

Graduate supervision is coordinated through the Nuffield Department of Women’s and Reproductive Health. While students may express preferences for specific supervisors, accommodations are not always guaranteed. In exceptional cases, supervision may be arranged outside this department.

Entry requirements

  • Academic qualifications: A minimum of Upper Second Class (or equivalent) is required.
  • English language proficiency:
    • IELTS (Academic): 7.5 overall
    • TOEFL iBT: 110 overall

    • Statement of purpose/personal statement (maximum 500 words)
    • Written work: either one essay of 4,000–5,000 words, or two essays of up to 2,500 words each
