How you’ll study Teaching is delivered through weekly classes (typically Thursday evenings), supported by tutorials, field visits, and practical fieldwork delivered either across two weekends or over approximately one week. You’ll receive reading guidance for each teaching block and complete assessed written work alongside a practical logbook and dissertation. You should plan for around 12 hours of independent study per week during term time, which may include reading, preparing assignments, and researching using museums, libraries, and archaeological sites. You can also use the Continuing Education Library for background research.
