PhD Studentships in Law will be offered for 2017-2018 funded by both Edinburgh Law School and the generous legacy of Edinburgh Law School alumnus Ewan Cameron. International students are eligible to apply.

The University of Edinburgh, founded in 1582, is the sixth oldest university in the English-speaking world and one of Scotland’s ancient universities.
Candidates must have the minimum equivalent of a 2:1 degree at undergraduate level. A good result in a consequent and relevant Masters degree will also be expected.
Studentships are available for PhD degree programme.
Studentships are tenable in law at University of Edinburgh.
Each studentship covers the UK/EU rate of fee and an annual stipend of £10,000. These are tenable for three years, subject to satisfactory academic progress.
- The studentship is open to applicants who have applied to study a full-time PhD in Law commencing in 2017-2018. Successful applicants will be expected to firmly accept the offer at the time when the results of the application process are announced. Candidates who already have an offer of financial sponsorship from elsewhere will not eligible.

The scholarship will be awarded on the basis of academic merit. Candidates must have the minimum equivalent of a 2:1 degree at undergraduate level. A good result in a consequent and relevant Masters degree will also be expected.
