Ireland Fellows Programme for Latin America 2026

The Ireland Fellows Programme for Latin America offers a fully funded opportunity for early and mid-career professionals from eligible Latin American countries to pursue a one-year master's degree in Ireland. Funded by the Government of Ireland, the programme is designed to develop future leaders who can contribute to the social, economic, and sustainable development of their home countries.


The fellowship covers tuition fees, international travel, accommodation, visa costs, insurance, residence permit fees, and monthly living expenses, allowing recipients to focus entirely on their academic and professional development.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be a resident national of one of the eligible countries.
  • Have at least three years of relevant professional work experience.
  • Hold a bachelor's degree from a recognized institution.
  • Have a minimum GPA of approximately 3.0/4.0 or equivalent.
  • Have completed their bachelor's degree in 2015 or later.
  • Demonstrate leadership potential and commitment to contributing to their home country.
  • Choose three eligible master's programmes in Ireland.

Applicants are not eligible if they:

  • Already hold a master's degree or higher qualification.
  • Are currently enrolled in a master's programme.
  • Will begin another master's programme during the 2026/27 academic year.
