Benefits
Qatar Airways University Scholarship Programme provide financial and academic support to Qatari nationals (and children of Qatari mothers) who are recent high school graduates to enrol into the undergraduate scholarship (Bachelor’s degrees studies) inside and outside the State of Qatar.
The scholarship is fully funded by Qatar Airways and covers the tuition fees, the monthly stipend, the cost of living, health insurance, and the cost of travel to the country of study.
After graduation, the student will join Qatar Airways under the Graduate Development Programme.
Eligible Nationalities
This scholarship is open to Qatari Students.
Eligibility Criteria
Eligibility Criteria for Qatar Airways Scholarship Program for Undergraduate Studies:
- Applicants must be Qatari Nationals or have a Qatari mother.
- Should have a good reputation and conduct.
- Must be medically fit and pass required medical examinations.
- Age requirement: between 17 and 24 years at the time of application.
- High school graduation within the last three years for Qatari Nationals; Qatari-Mother Students must have completed all study stages in Qatar.
- Minimum high school overall score: 85% for Qatari Nationals, 90% for Qatari-Mother Students. Non-Qatar Ministry of Education certificates need an Equivalency Statement from the Ministry.
- Recent overall IELTS band score: 5.5 for Qatari Nationals, 6.0 for Qatari-Mother Students (not less than 5.0 in each component).
- Chosen university field of study must align with Qatar Airways' approved majors.
- Selected university must be accredited by Qatar's Ministry of Education and acceptable to Qatar Airways.
- If studying abroad, submission of a Pre-approval Letter from Qatar's Ministry of Education is required.
- Must provide an unconditional acceptance letter from an accredited university, detailing the study major, courses, study plan, fees, and start/end dates.
- Male Qatari-Nationals need a statement regarding Qatar National Service from the Qatar National Service Academy.
- Must not be sponsored, employed, or formerly employed by Qatar Airways or any other entity.
- Must have a Qatari National guarantor willing to cover scholarship expenses if the student fails or withdraws.
- Additional documents might be requested for eligibility.
General Scholarship Conditions:
- Only available for Bachelor's Degree studies; no scholarships for Master Degrees or higher.
- Bachelor's Degree duration must not exceed four years.
- Studies and courses should be in English.
- Qatari-Mother Students' applications reviewed only for local university studies in Qatar.
- Non-Qatar Ministry of Education certificates need an Equivalency Statement.
- Postgraduate studies immediately following graduation are not permitted; graduates must return to work for Qatar Airways.
- Graduates must sign an employment contract with Qatar Airways for a minimum of five years, possibly involving shift duties.
- Accepted study locations: Qatar, UK, USA, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, and other countries specified by Qatar Airways.
- Qatar Airways reserves the right to modify admission requirements, accepted majors, universities, and study locations without prior notice.
