Degree Level
The Open Doors International Olympiad is a Russian government-supported competition for international students and researchers who want to study or conduct research in Russia.

Application Procedure
How the Open Doors Scholarship Application Works
The competition can be understood as a three-stage process, although the exact requirements differ between Bachelor’s, Master’s, PhD, and Postdoctoral applicants.
Stage 1: Registration, Entry Test and Portfolio
The first stage begins with online registration.
Applicants create an account on the Open Doors platform and provide their personal information. They then select their academic track, subject area or intended research field, and competition language.
The registration and portfolio must be completed by November 1, 2026 for the current competition.

University Selection After Winning
