Scholarship Description:

The University of Adelaide is offering research scholarships to support a full-time Ph.D. student who is commencing research in cultural studies, media and communication studies, or a cognate discipline.

Scholarship Benefits:

The eligible applicants will be provided a stipend allowance valued at $28,854 per annum for up to 3 years for their postgraduate research study at the University of Adelaide.

Eligibility Criteria:

Applicants must have completed and been awarded a relevant Bachelor's Degree with Honours (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline. Excellent academic writing and communication skills are essential. Applicants must be Australian citizens or permanent residents of Australia/international students who are accepted as candidates for a Ph.D. degree at the University of Adelaide.


Application Procedure:

Expressions of interest should be submitted to Dr Michelle Phillipov (michelle.phillipov@adelaide.edu.au) by no later than 31 March 2022 with the name of scholarship in the subject heading. Please ensure you include all of the following documents:

 

  • Evidence of Australian or New Zealand citizenship, or Australian permanent resident status (if applicable)
  • Degree certificates (testamurs)
  • Academic transcripts
  • Translations of non-English documentation
  • Evidence of English language proficiency
  • Curriculum vitae

 

You should also include with your Expression of Interest a cover letter (1-page max.) outlining your interest in the research and providing a brief (1–2 sentence) summary of your proposed project. You may be invited to submit a more detailed research proposal before the final selection is made.
