Scholarship Description:

Salem International College Scholarships in Germany, 2017 is open for International Students . The scholarship allows level program(s) in the field of All Subjects taught at Schule Schloss Salem . The deadline of the scholarship is .

Scholarship Description: Applications are invited for Scholarships at Salem for students who are currently be attending Year 4 of a primary school or the Lower or Middle School of a grammar school or another secondary school. International students are eligible to apply for this scholarship program.

About University: Schule Schloss Salem gGmbH is organized under Germany law as a non-profit limited liability company. For nearly a century the work of Schule Schloss Salem has been based on the goal and intention to shape and form the character of our students – a two-fold endeavour.

Degree Level: The applicants should currently be attending Year 4 of a primary school or the Lower or Middle School of a grammar school, or another secondary school and should not be already a student at Salem.

Available Subject: Scholarship is awarded to learn any of the subjects offered at the school.

Scholarship Benefits: All the scholarships are partial scholarships. The base amount for each scholarship is € 6.000 per year or € 500 per month. This base scholarship is not dependent on the income and financial circumstances of the family.

If required, an additional grant can be applied for, which is based on the income and financial circumstances of the family. The application is to be substantiated and supported by the tax assessment. In any case, the family is expected to make a contribution of € 6, 000, – per year, or € 500, – per month. The School’s Scholarship Committee decides on the individual applications.

If no income statement is submitted, the scholarship will be limited to the base amount of € 500 per month.

 

Eligibility: The following criteria must be met in order for applicants to be eligible for the scholarship:

The applicants should currently be attending Year 4 of a primary school or the Lower or Middle School of a grammar school, or another secondary school and should not be already a student at Salem. Furthermore, applicants should:

  • Set themselves high standards and readily assume responsibility;

  • Show a particular commitment in an area of social engagement, in music, art or sports;

  • Present a strong academic record;

  • Have a command of the German language sufficient to be able to attend classes in the Abitur system, or, likewise, in English  for admission to the International Classes

  • Students who are already attending Schule Schloss Salem are not eligible to apply for a Salem scholarship or a Dornier scholarship. In the Middle School, they may apply for a Heinrich-Blendinger scholarship.


Eligible Nationalities: International students are eligible to apply for this scholarship program.

 

Application Procedure: The independently composed, handwritten letter of application will include the application form, curriculum vitae,  mention of special fields of interest, and a statement of the reason for the application. The mid-year and the end-of-year school reports for the last two school years as well as a photo are to be enclosed with the application.
