Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Sasol Foundation Bursary, applicants must:
- Be a South African citizen by birth.
- Be 25 years old or younger at the time of application.
- Intend to study full-time at a recognised public South African University or University of Technology.
- Be studying toward their first undergraduate degree.
- Meet household income requirements (combined annual household income must not exceed R800,000).

- Applicants entering first year must have completed matric within one year of applying or currently be completing matric.
- Current university students applying for second, third, or fourth year must have at least a 60% average across all modules.
