Benefits

Eligible Nationalities
Applicants must be:
- U.S. citizens, or
- Permanent residents of the United States
Eligibility Criteria
To be eligible for the SFM Foundation Scholarship, applicants must:
- Be the natural, adopted, stepchild, or full dependent of a worker who was seriously injured or killed in a work-related accident.
- The parent or guardian must have been employed by a Minnesota- or Iowa-based employer and eligible for benefits under the Minnesota Workers' Compensation Act, Iowa Workers' Compensation Act, or a comparable work-related injury compensation program.
- Be a resident of Minnesota or Iowa.
- Be between 16 and 27 years of age.
- Be a U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
- Have a high school diploma, GED, or be a high school student in good standing.
- Demonstrate financial need.
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll in an accredited college, university, or vocational education program.
Application Procedure
