• Number of Awards:

Up to 85 scholarships are available in the 2024/25 academic year, with five specifically designated for students from India.

• Scholarship Amount:

£15,000

• Duration:

1. One year for most programs.
2. Two years for full-time programs lasting two years, with 50% awarded each year.

• Combinability: 

This scholarship can be combined with other scholarships, awards, or bursaries. The total UCL award amount may be adjusted based on the total funding received by the student.

• Reporting Requirements: 

Scholarship recipients must inform the UCL Student Funding Office of any additional funding received for their Master's degree studies, both before and after receiving the UCL Global Masters Scholarship.

• Payment Details:
  1. The scholarship will be applied towards tuition fees first.
  2. Any remaining funds will be paid to the recipient in three equal installments throughout the academic year to cover living expenses.

Eligibility Criteria for UCL Global Masters Scholarship:

This scholarship is open to international students meeting all the following requirements:

• Citizenship:

Be from a country outside the UK.

• Financial Background:

Come from a lower-income background* (definition provided on a separate page).

• Academic Program:

Have submitted a complete application (including references) for a full-time, on-campus Master's degree program at UCL for the 2024/25 academic year. Distance learning programs are not eligible.

Application Procedure for UCL Global Masters Scholarship:

1. Complete your UCL Admission Application: You must first submit your application to UCL for a Master's program, including references.
2. Wait for Fee Status Confirmation: UCL Admissions will determine your fee status (overseas or domestic). You may need to wait for an offer of admission before this is confirmed. 3. Apply for IMA (after Fee Status Confirmation): A single application can be used for multiple relevant IMA schemes you qualify for. The deadline to apply is 5:00 pm BST, Tuesday, May 7, 2024.
3. Access the Online Application:
   • Log in to the UCL Portico portal.
   • Find your active Master's program application.
   • Click on "Funding" in the application menu.
   • Under "Funds Available," check which scholarships you're eligible for and apply if applicable.
   • Submit a separate application for each scholarship you choose.

Important Note: Apply for admission to your Master's program well before the scholarship deadline that is 7th May, 2024.
