WMCCAI Scholarship Program in the USA

The WMCCAI Scholarship Program is an educational funding opportunity for high school seniors in the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area. Organized by WMCCAI, this scholarship encourages students to demonstrate creativity, critical thinking, and community awareness through an essay or media presentation contest.

Applicants are invited to submit either a 500–700 word essay or a 90-second media presentation based on the scholarship year’s assigned topic. The program rewards students who present practical and thoughtful ideas while showcasing strong communication skills. The selected winner will receive a $1,000 scholarship award, and the winning submission will be announced within 60 days after the deadline, featured in Quorum magazine, and published on CAI’s website.

This scholarship provides students with financial support while giving them an opportunity for public recognition of their academic efforts and creative ideas.

Eligibility Criteria

To apply for the WMCCAI Scholarship Program, students must meet the following requirements:

Must be a high school senior
Must live within the Washington, DC Metropolitan Area
Must have a minimum GPA of 2.5
Must submit either:
- A 500–700 word essay, or
- A 90-second media presentation
Must submit a transcript
Must complete the official scholarship application form

Additional points are awarded if the essay or presentation has been submitted to a community leader, and the applicant includes the community leader’s written feedback.
