Applications are now open for the DW Akademie Training for Journalists 2026 in Bangkok, Thailand. This fully funded regional training program is jointly organized by DW Akademie and the Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Human Rights (OHCHR). The three-day workshop is designed for journalists from South and Southeast Asia who want to strengthen their reporting on migration, human rights, and scam trafficking.
Participants will gain practical skills in ethical migration reporting, learn how to counter disinformation, and understand the relationship between migration, online scam operations, and algorithmic amplification while protecting the dignity and rights of affected individuals.

About the Program

The training is part of the Displacement and Dialogue Asia project funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ).
