Entry requirements

Applicants interested in the BAS in Agricultural Science, Horticulture must meet one of the following criteria:

  • Completion of BC high school graduation or equivalent; or
  • At least nine UFV or transferable post-secondary credits with a minimum 2.00 GPA (C average); or
  • Be a minimum of 19 years of age by the start of the first class; or
  • For preparatory level programs only: be at least 17 years of age and out of high school for at least one year by the start of the semester.

English language requirement: A C+ final grade in one of the following is accepted: English 12, English 12 First Peoples, AP English, or IB English. If this requirement is not met, applicants may need to submit an English test score (e.g., IELTS, TOEFL, PTE, or Duolingo English Test) as specified by UFV.

  • Duolingo English Test: 110
