Overview

The Master of Applied Science at Deakin University is an innovative program aimed at enhancing research skills and critical thinking. What you'll study

• The program consists of core modules, elective courses, and a comprehensive research thesis or capstone project.
• Full-time students should allocate approximately 36 hours each week to their research activities.
• Students have the opportunity to take 20 working days of annual leave, subject to approval from their Principal Supervisor; part-time students will have a reduced commitment.

Entry requirements

• Applicants are required to have a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale.
• To demonstrate English proficiency, applicants must meet the following minimum scores:
  • TOEFL iBT: 94
  • PTE Academic: 65
  • IELTS: 7
• Applicants must showcase a high standard of research capability, typically through an Honours degree at H2B (60%+) level or a coursework master's degree with a substantial thesis component. Other forms of research evidence, such as relevant publications or significant research experience, may also be considered.
