Academic requirements

  • Degree: A UK honours degree at a 2:1 level (or equivalent) in Psychology.
  • Professional alignment: The degree must satisfy the British Psychological Society (BPS) criteria for the Graduate Basis for Chartership (GBC).
  • Experience: Relevant work experience is recommended alongside academic qualifications.
  • Recognition of prior learning: Entry to the second year may be available for candidates holding an MSc in Sport and Exercise Psychology (BPS accredited), subject to GCU’s Recognition of Prior Learning policy.

English requirements

  • IELTS Academic: An overall score of 7.0, with no individual component lower than 6.5 (or equivalent).
  • TOEFL iBT: A minimum score of 78 (or equivalent).
  • PTE Academic: A score of 59 (or equivalent).
  • Oxford Test of English (OTE): A score of 121 (or equivalent).

Other requirements

  • Applicants should exhibit maturity and experience suitable for the demands of the program.
