The Master of Science (MSc) in Applied Computing at the University of Toronto is a full-time, career-oriented graduate program. What you'll study

• Programme Structure: The program consists of 1.0 Full Course Equivalent (FCE) of required courses and a 3.5 FCE internship component.
• Required Coursework: Students will engage in Technical Communications and Technical Entrepreneurship as part of their foundational training.
• Applied Research Internship: An 8-month internship allows students to apply their learning in a real-world setting, assessed on a pass/fail basis.

Entry requirements

• An appropriate bachelor’s degree from a recognized university in computer science or a related discipline.
• Minimum academic standing equivalent to B+ in the final year of undergraduate studies.
• Adherence to the School of Graduate Studies General Regulations along with additional Department of Computer Science requirements.

English requirements

• IELTS: A minimum overall score of 7.0.
• TOEFL iBT: A minimum total score of 93.
• Non-native English speakers who completed their degree in a non-English environment must submit English test results.

Other requirements

• Letters of Support: Three letters from faculty and/or employers are required.
• Statement of Purpose: A written explanation of your interest in computer science and your objectives for pursuing this program.
