Work Permits

After completing your Erasmus Mundus - European Politics and Society master, your ability to work in Europe depends on the country where you apply for residence and the rules in force at the time you graduate.

  • General eligibility: In many European countries, graduates can apply for a post-study residence/work permit if they have completed an eligible degree and can demonstrate sufficient resources and health insurance.
  • Duration: Post-study permits are typically granted for a limited period (often around 6–12 months) to allow job seeking and/or transition to employment. Exact length varies by country.
  • Job search vs. employment: Some systems allow you to stay to look for work first, while others require you to find a job within a set timeframe.
  • Where you apply: You usually apply in the country where you will reside after graduation (for example, the country of your final study period or where you hold residence). Because this programme is multi-city, you may need to check the rules for each relevant country.
  • Important: Visa and work-permit rules change frequently. Always verify the latest requirements with the immigration authority of the specific country you plan to move to.

If you tell us your citizenship and the country you want to work in after graduation, we can help you identify the most relevant post-study pathway.
