Entry requirements

To be eligible for the Early Education and Care (Hons) programme, applicants must fulfill specific academic criteria, which include:

  • Leaving Certificate: 6 subjects at O6/H7, including English or Irish at O6/H7. Maths is not required.
  • QQI/FET route: A QQI/FET Major Award is required, along with three distinctions.
  • GCSE/A-level route: 6 distinct subjects, including 2 A-levels at Grade C and 4 GCSE subjects at Grade C, one of which must be English or Irish.
