DAAD-EMPM Scholarship 2024 in Germany (Fully Funded) is open for International Students . The scholarship allows Masters, Bachelor level program(s) in the field of All Subjects taught at Germany Universities . The deadline of the scholarship is expired at 02 Jul 2024.

Objective of DAAD-EU Mobility Programme for Myanmar (EMPM):

The overall objective of the programme is to provide Myanmar’s next generation with education and training opportunities with the specific objective to enhance options for mobility for students to the ASEAN member states. EMPM will award scholarships to Myanmar students to complete transfer degrees at universities in ASEAN.

What can be funded?

Candidates can apply for the same/equivalent subject area as their current major, offered by the participating universities in ASEAN, as long as they can be successfully completed during the scholarship period. Bachelor's and Master's studies can be funded.

Duration of the funding

Funding is provided up to 31st December 2026 and initially awarded for a maximum of one year. Extensions depend on whether the selection committee considers the previous award period to have been successfully completed.

Eligible Nationalities

DAAD-EMPM Scholarship is open to students from Myanmar.

Eligibility Criteria

Enrolled students with Myanmar citizenship who were unable to continue their higher education pathways since March 2020 are eligible to apply for this scholarship. (Earlier years of studies are not eligible.)

Application Procedure

Deadline to Apply: 

• July 2, 2024 (Interviews will be held the week of July 8th)

Required Documents:

• Completed online application form (available through the DAAD portal)
• Official academic transcript in English (including credit points and individual course grades)
• Letter of Admission (LoA) from your chosen EMPM host university confirming enrollment and remaining program requirements (semesters or credits needed to graduate)
• Letter of Motivation (approximately 2,000 words) explaining:

1. Reason for leaving or not attending your home university
2. Why you cannot continue your studies there
3. How your studies will contribute to Myanmar's development
4. Your career goals after graduation

• Copy of your Myanmar National Registration Card (NRC)
• Copy of your valid passport
• Copy of official household documentation from the Ministry of Labour, Immigration and Population (MoLIP) Township Office
• Proof of English language skills (if available)
• Curriculum vitae (resume)
• Recent passport-sized photograph

Submission Instructions:

• Applications must be submitted electronically through the DAAD portal only. Applications sent elsewhere will not be considered.
• The DAAD portal closes at midnight Central European Summer Time (CEST) on the application deadline.
• Incomplete applications will be disqualified. Ensure all required documents are included.
• The application portal is only accessible during the application period.
