Eramus Mundus Masters Courses (EMMCs) Scholarships for EMERALD - Master Course in Georesources Engineering 2013-14

The master program is a 2 years (120 ECTS) program. The program aims at finding the right balance between knowledge of mineral resources (geology, resource characterisation, reserve estimation, modeling) and processing (comminution, preconcentration, concentration, leaching, waste disposal,…).

Selection criteria

Selection of candidates will be a cooperative process between partner institutions and will be based on a consensus. The program is aimed at candidates having at least a Bachelor degree in Engineering, with basic knowledge in geology. Holders of a Master degree in Geology with professional experience are also invited to apply.

Fees and fundings

The Erasmus Mundus program is aimed at both EU and non-EU students. Students will benefit from individual fellowships:

EU: 500€/month
Non-EU: 1000€/month plus travel and registration expenses

But, it is the intention of the partners and a requirement of the European Union to get additional support from private companies and reach a self-supporting status after five years at most.
