The Ireland Fellows Programme 2024-25 is designed to provide early to mid-career professionals from eligible countries with leadership potential the opportunity to receive a prestigious and high-quality education in Ireland. The programme offers fully funded one-year master's level programmes at recognized higher education institutions in Ireland. The award covers program fees, flights, accommodation, and living costs. The master's level programmes typically begin in August or September and range from 10 to 16 months in duration.
The programme promotes gender equality, equal opportunity, and diversity. It aligns with Sustainable Development Goal 16, which focuses on building effective, accountable, and inclusive institutions at all levels. Applications are encouraged from individuals with disabilities, as well as those belonging to minority or disadvantaged groups. Efforts are made to increase the representation of female applicants and individuals whose gender identity does not conform to the male/female binary.
The goals of the programme are to nurture future leaders, enhance in-country capacity to achieve national Sustainable Development Goals, and foster positive relationships with Ireland. Upon completion of the programme, graduates are expected to return to their home countries and contribute to capacity building while becoming leaders in their respective fields. Additionally, the programme aims to establish enduring personal and professional connections between the fellows and Ireland, promoting institutional linkages.
