Scholarship Description:

MBZUAI offers students a choice of graduate programs in a modern and innovative university setting, located in the thriving capital of the UAE. All students admitted on a full-time basis are granted the privilege to complete their study with a full scholarship. However, to maintain the scholarships, stipends and other benefits, students are expected to maintain high academic standing, comply with the university code of conduct, and fulfil certain requirements during their study tenure.

Scholarship Benefits:

The scholarship covers:

• Full tuition fee, making it 100% tuition-free.
• On-campus student accommodation.
• Health insurance and sponsorship of UAE visa for non-UAE nationals.

Monthly stipend, which is subject to the University's regulations as outlined in the University Catalogue. The stipend amounts are as follows:

For MSc (Master of Science) students:

• AED 8,000 per month for international and UAE resident students.
• AED 30,000 per month for UAE national students (single).
• AED 33,000 per month for married UAE national students (official documents required).

For PhD students:

• AED 10,000 per month for international and UAE resident students.
• AED 36,000 per month for UAE national students (single).
• AED 39,000 per month for married UAE national students (official documents required).

Please note that married PhD students may have the option to live off-campus and receive an additional housing allowance of AED 5,000, subject to approval and the submission of official documents.

Eligible Nationalities:

This scholarship is open to domestic and international students of all nationalities. 

Eligibility Criteria:

To be eligible for the Muhammad Bin Zaid University Scholarship, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Language Proficiency: Proficiency in English is required. Applicants must demonstrate their English language skills by submitting a TOEFL iBT score with a minimum total score of 90 or an IELTS Academic score with a minimum overall score of 6.5.
• Eligible Countries: The scholarship is open to applicants from all countries worldwide.
• Master's Program Requirement: For MSc programs, candidates should have completed a Bachelor of Science degree or its equivalent from a well-regarded university accredited or recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE). Applicants are expected to have a minimum CGPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) and must provide their complete degree certificates and transcripts in English as part of their application.
• Ph.D. Program Requirement: For Ph.D. programs, applicants should hold a Master of Science degree or its equivalent from a reputable university accredited or recognized by the UAE Ministry of Education (MOE). Candidates should have a minimum CGPA of 3.2 on a 4.0 scale (or its equivalent) and must provide their complete degree certificates and transcripts in English when applying.
• Degree Verification: Candidates with degrees from UAE institutions should provide degree attestation, while those with degrees from outside the UAE should furnish an equivalency certificate during their first semester at the university. Further information on attestation and equivalency procedures can be found on the UAE MOE website.
• Graduate Record Examination (GRE): While not mandatory, a GRE General score is advantageous and will be taken into account during the evaluation of applicants.
