Eligibility Criteria
To qualify for the Hearts for Community Service Scholarship, applicants must meet all of the following requirements:
- Be a resident of an eligible U.S. state
- Have a minimum GPA of 2.75 on a 4.0 scale (or GED equivalent)
- Be enrolled or planning to enroll in a post-secondary institution
- Be actively involved in community service or volunteer work
- Open to:
- High school students (including dually enrolled)
- High school graduates
- GED recipients
- Trade school students
- Undergraduate and postgraduate students
- Demonstrate financial need
Application Procedure
Applicants must complete the application during the open period (June 1 – June 30) and submit the following materials:

- Essay (Minimum 500 Words) addressing:
- How you serve your community and the impact of your service
- How volunteerism has influenced your life
- How the scholarship will support your educational goals
- What post-secondary education means to you
- Academic Transcript: Minimum GPA of 2.75 or GED equivalent
- Proof of Enrollment or Acceptance: From a post-secondary institution
- Incomplete or late applications will not be considered.
