Scholarship Description:

HEC Overseas Scholarships for Balochistan Province (Spring-Fall 2016) is open for . The scholarship allows level program(s) in the field of taught at . The deadline of the scholarship is .

Applications are invited form candidates having local/ domicile certificates of Balochistan Province for Award of overseas scholarships for MS/MPhil leading to PhD and PhD in universities and countries with whom HEC has signed documents of understanding/ world top ranking 500 universities (Times Ranking).

Eligibility Criteria:

1. Applicant Must Posses local / Domicile certificate from Balochistan province.


2. Candidate must have completed 16 years of education( Bachelors/ Masters)


3. A minimum of 45% marks will be allowed while no 3rd division is acceptable.


4. Candidate must have secured at least 50 marks (Accumulative Test Score) in Scholarship aptitude test arranged by HEC.


5. At least two certificates/Degrees must have been studied and obtained from HEC recognized universities/ DAIs located in Balochistan province.


6. For medical disciplines, applicant must provide the Valid Pakistan Medical and Dental Council (PMDC) Registration Certificate.


7. For Engineering disciplines, applicant must provide the Valid Pakistan Engineering  Council (PEC) Registration Certificate.


8. Maximum Age Limit as on June 10, 2015.
   
   
   
   1. 40 years for full time regular faculty ember of public sector universities/Colleges and employees of public sector R&D Organizations.
   
   
   2. 35 years of age for those who have MS/MPhil (18 years) degree and applying for PhD Program.
   
   
   3. 30 years of age for those who have MS/MPhil (18 years) degree and applying for PhD Program.
   
   
   4. 30 years of age for those who have MA/MSc/Bachelor (16 years) degree and applying for MS/Mphil Leading to PhD Program.
   
   
   
   

Important Note:

1. All scholarship will be awarded on Merit to be determined for each District.


2. Government Employees should apply through proper channel.


3. HEC may allocate any country/ University to the candidate.


4.  Selected candidates will be required to fulfill the requirement of host University to secure the admission which may include international GRE, TOFEL IELTS, etc. Candidates are advised to appear in these tests before the interview/ admission. Those who will be shortlisted, they will be asked to submit IELTS or TOFEL.


5. Candidates will be short-listed on the basis of GAT general and Academic credentials scores and may be called for interview.


6.  Awardes will also have to execute a bond with the HEC to serve in (Public sector Universities affiliated colleges/Colleges/Public Sector Organization/ R&D Organization) of Balochistan Province for a minimum of five years after completion of their study.


7. Candidates having MS/MPhil degree (18 years education) applying for PhD program will be preferred.
