The Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme (HKSES) 2026/27 is one of the most prestigious scholarship programs offered by the Hong Kong Government. It supports top-performing local students in pursuing undergraduate or postgraduate studies at internationally renowned universities outside Hong Kong.
Established in 2014, HKSES has awarded scholarships to over 1,000 outstanding students since its launch

What Is the Hong Kong Scholarship for Excellence Scheme?
The HKSES is a merit-based scholarship designed to support Hong Kong permanent residents in pursuing full-time undergraduate or postgraduate studies abroad. - Only applicants who hold Hong Kong permanent resident status may apply.
2. Strong Academic Performance

3. Offer from a Leading Global University
- Applicants must have applied to or secured admission to a reputable university outside Hong Kong.
4. Full-Time Program
- Only full-time overseas programs are eligible under HKSES.
