Scholarship Description:

The Indonesian Government proudly announces the opening of applications for the Kemitraan Negara Berkembang (KNB) Scholarship 2024-2025, extending a warm invitation to aspiring international students from developing countries to fulfill their academic aspirations in Indonesia.

The Scholarship is offered to potential students from the developing countries or countries who have bilateral relations with Indonesian Government, to get their degree (Bachelor, Master or Doctorate Degree) in one of 31 (thirty- one) KNB Scholarship host universities and 1.475 study program.

Established in 1992 during the 10th Conference of Heads of States of Non-Aligned Movement (NAM) countries, the KNB Scholarship has evolved into a beacon of educational opportunity, reaching beyond NAM member states. This initiative reflects Indonesia's commitment to fostering international cooperation and knowledge exchange.

KNB Scholarships 2024: Who Can Apply?

If you're aspiring to pursue Bachelor’s (BS), Master’s (MS), or Doctoral (PhD) programs through the KNB Scholarships in 2024, ensure you meet the following eligibility criteria:

Bachelor’s Degree (BS) Eligibility:

• Age Limit: Applicants must be under 25 years old.
• Educational Background: High school degree holders are eligible; however, those with a Bachelor's degree cannot apply for another Bachelor’s degree.
• English Proficiency: TOEFL ITP: 477, TOEFL IBT: 53, IELTS: 5.5, or TOEIC: 510. Exemptions apply for those from English-speaking countries or those who have studied in English-taught programs.
• Recommendation Letters: Required from the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate General and from the employer/immediate supervisor (if applicable). Academic recommendation letter from previous schools is also necessary.
• Citizenship Proof: Valid official passport.
• Online Application: Complete the application form on the KNB Scholarship website.

Master’s Degree (MS) Eligibility:

• Age Limit: Applicants must be under 35 years old.
• Educational Background: Bachelor’s degree holders are eligible; however, those with a Master's degree cannot apply for another Master’s degree.
• English Proficiency: TOEFL ITP: 500, TOEFL IBT: 61, IELTS: 6.0, or TOEIC: 575. Exemptions apply similarly to the Bachelor’s program.
• Recommendation Letters: Required from the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate General and from the employer/immediate supervisor (if applicable). Academic recommendation letter from previous schools is also necessary.
• Citizenship Proof: Valid official passport.
• Online Application: Complete the application on the KNB Scholarship website.

Doctoral Degree (PhD) Eligibility:

• Age Limit: Applicants must be under 40 years old.
• Educational Background: Master’s degree holders are eligible; however, those with a Doctorate degree cannot apply for another Doctorate degree.
• English Proficiency: TOEFL ITP: 530, TOEFL IBT: 71, IELTS: 6.0, or TOEIC: 640. Exemptions are similar to the Bachelor’s and Master’s programs.
• Recommendation Letters: Required from the Indonesian Embassy/Consulate General, employer/immediate supervisor (if applicable), and potential research supervisor at one of the KNB partner universities.
• Statement of Purpose: For Doctoral applicants, detailing study and research plans in Indonesia.
• Academic Recommendation Letter: From previous schools.
• Citizenship Proof: Valid official passport.
• Online Application: Complete the form on the KNB Scholarship website.
