  • Professional Experience:

    • YPs engage in professional-level work from their initial assignments, making significant contributions to IsDB.
  • Field Rotation:

    • All YPs undertake at least one rotation at an IsDB Regional Hub or Office, establishing deeper connections with beneficiaries.
  • Missions:

    • YPs are expected to travel on missions to Member Countries, participating in diverse assignments that lead to exponential learning and personal growth.
  • Training:

    • A comprehensive 2-year training curriculum covers both technical and behavioral aspects. Some of these trainings are accredited by top Professional Institutions.
  • Coaching and Mentoring:

    • YPs are assigned career advisors for navigating their careers within IsDB. Additionally, each YP's cohort participates in a group coaching experience to accelerate their development.

Upon successfully completing the program, YPs transition to the IsDB High Potential Talent Pool, opening avenues for continued career growth and development within the Bank beyond the YPP. This commitment ensures that YPs receive robust support for their professional journey within IsDB.

Eligibility Criteria:

a) Minimum Requirements:

Prospective candidates for the IsDB Young Professional Program (YPP) must meet the following minimum criteria:

  • Education:

    • Hold a minimum Master’s degree in any relevant discipline from a highly reputed University. Candidates pursuing a Master’s degree are eligible if the degree will be awarded before the YPP Program's start date. Master's degree should be obtained less than 4 years from the application deadline.
  • Citizenship:

    • Be a citizen of an IsDB member-country. However, up to 25% of selected candidates from each cohort can be from Muslim communities in non-Member Countries.
  • Language:

    • Demonstrate excellent oral and written communication skills in English. Proficiency in one of the Bank’s other operating languages (Arabic or French) will be considered favorably.
  • Age:

    • 32 years or younger by the application deadline.
  • Location and Travel:

    • Be willing to reside in Jeddah (Saudi Arabia) and travel for country assignments as per business requirements, including rotations to an IsDB Regional Hub.
  • Commitment:

    • Exhibit a commitment and passion for IsDB's mission and its development model.

b) Additional Considerations:

In addition to the minimum criteria, priority will be given to prospective candidates with the following:

  • Distinction or Merit in their Master’s program. Candidates pursuing their Master’s degree should submit transcripts displaying outstanding academic standing.
  • Recipients of IsDB Scholarships.
  • Trilingual proficiency, with a good command of Arabic and/or French.
  • Possession or pursuit of a Professional Certification or a PhD from a reputable institution in a relevant field.
  • Relevant professional working experience in any of the IsDB’s core sectors.

c) Preferred Specializations:

The YPP aims to attract and nurture graduates across various specializations. While applications from diverse academic backgrounds are welcome, preference will be given to graduates in the following fields during the selection process:
