International Institute of Social Studies (ISS) is providing financialĀ support to students through its two fund i.e. ISS Scholarship Fund forĀ Excellent Students and ISS Hardship Fund. Both fund are open for internationalĀ and dutch students for pursuingĀ MA program in DevelopmentĀ Studies. ISS Scholarship Fund is awarding a total of 20 scholarshipsĀ covering 40% of the tuition fee while ISS Hardship Fund provide aĀ fee discount of up to 30% of the tuition fee. For applying these scholarships,Ā the Applicants should send in their request to the ISS student officeĀ before closing dates i.e. 15 May 2013 for ISS Scholarship FundĀ and 15 June 2013 for ISS Hardship Fund.Study Subject(s): Scholarships are provided for MA programĀ in Development Studies. Eligibility: For ISS Scholarship Fund: The followingĀ candidates can apply: People with relevant work experience, a degree in oneĀ of the social sciences (upper second or first class) and a strong motivation toĀ study at ISS, or Recent graduates with a first class degree in one of theĀ social sciences and a strong motivation to study at ISS. For ISS HardshipĀ Fund: Students who do not comply with the criteria for the scholarship fund forĀ excellent students but do not have sufficient means to pay the entire tuitionĀ fee can apply to the ISS Hardship Fund.
Scholarship Open for InternationalĀ Students: International and Dutch students can apply forĀ this scholarship.
Scholarship Description: The ISS has established two fundsĀ i.e. ISS Scholarship Fund for Excellent Students and ISS Hardship Fund toĀ support students without any other form of scholarship. Both funds are open toĀ Dutch as well as international students who wish to enroll in the MA inĀ Development Studies.
Number of award(s): ISS Scholarship Fund for ExcellentĀ Students: A total of 20 scholarships will awarded.
What does it cover? ISS Scholarship Fund: Each scholarship isĀ worth 40% of the tuition fee (for the MA 2013-2014: ā¬5400). ISS Hardship Fund:Ā This fund can provide a fee discount of up to 30% of the tuition fee (for the MAĀ 2013-2014: ā¬4050).
Notification: ISS Scholarship Fund: The decision will be taken inĀ early June. Students selected for the scholarship bursaries will be informed byĀ the student office. ). ISS Hardship Fund: The decision will be taken in earlyĀ July. Students selected for the scholarship bursaries will be informed by theĀ student office.
How to Apply: Applicants should send in their request toĀ the ISS student office before closing dates.Ā Requests should includeĀ detailed financial information (including supporting bank statements) to proveĀ your ability to support yourself for the remaining tuition fee, the livingĀ expenses and health insurance.
